To save time, I ended up buying the majority of the treats, but I did get to make some gluten free cupcakes & sugar cookies. My grandmother brought the beautiful flowers, and we filled a little "bird cage card-holder" I had found with party favours for the kiddos. I didn't really notice this last year, but since Hayden's birthday is so close to Valentine's Day I had a super easy time finding lots of pink and heart-shaped candies and decor. It worked out really well. We kept all the beverages in the kitchen due to lack of space and to reduce messes in the living room.
Hayden and her cousins jumped right in to playing with the tea set and enjoying some frosted animal crackers! It was sweet to see them all playing together and serving each other tea. They were all also great at helping Hayden get her presents rounded up and assisting her in opening them.
Needless to say, Hayden especially enjoyed opening her presents! She got lots of princess & fairy {Tinkerbell} stuff, and another Pete the Cat book from her Aunty Lexi {who took the second & third sets of pictures for me.} We really enjoyed seeing everyone and Hayden played her little heart out. It could not have gone any better!

I'm shocked at how grown up she looks here! Happy birthday Hayden!
ReplyDeleteWow she sure has grown! from the pictures I remember seeing last year. Happy Birthday Hayden! Time flies. Sophie will be 6 in February, I can't believe it :)
ReplyDeletei know right?? Her hair is really starting to grow now and it just adds to making her look older!
ReplyDeleteI think she even went through a little growth spurt just before her birthday too. And yes, time definitely does fly... does not seem like 2 years at all!
