Getting Closer: The Countertops Are Here!

Throughout the renovation process we’ve worked hard to keep the costs minimal wherever we could, so initially we didn’t think granite would be a possibility. However, my grandparents told us about a granite supplier out of a town near Chicago they had used in the past with very reasonable prices. They were much cheaper than the granite from Home Depot or Lowes and only a little more than what the local stores would have charged for laminate! Plus we knew that granite would add to the appeal of our home if and when it comes time to sell it.

We emailed back and forth with Adriatic Granite, sending them our sketches to get our estimate, then set up the initial appointment. They came and got exact measurements from our newly installed cabinets and showed us several samples. We chose a couple we liked, then they were back a couple weeks later to install it. Overall it was a very smooth process!

We chose a grey for the kitchen to match the pinstripe glaze on our cabinets. I LOVE how it turned out!

They had us pull out all our faucets so they could drill the holes on site… I hadn’t even thought of that part!

We went a bit darker in the master bath, and right in the middle for the kids bath. I love how they all turned out!

The installation was very quick, and they installed our sinks along with drilling the holes for the faucets. We definitely recommend this company!
