Wes’s family is in the process of moving down to Arizona, and this week we have the pleasure of visiting them!
Yesterday we got to visit their church and took a tour of some of the surrounding neighborhoods. When we got home we relaxed by the pool for a while and then went for a nice evening walk to pick some oranges. – I can’t believe how gorgeous it is here in January! I knew there wasn’t much grass, but they make up for it with lots of other green plants, including orange trees everywhere. It’s lovely. Here are some pictures from our walk:
little girl did great in her stroller – she loves walks!so preciouslas montanas!we stopped for a little photo op along the way… & were also amused @ the bicycle guy’s helmetWes’s dad Matt picking oranges at a different spot on our way homeAnd here’s Wes’s parents’ current rental {where we are staying with them}… I’m loving the southwestern architecture!
Today we went for a nice hike in those mountain areas, it was around 82 degrees I believe. More on that to come later!
Kate is a proud mama to six amazing little sweeties {through birth + adoption} and wife to the best husband a girl could ask for! She considers herself blessed to be able to stay home with the kids, and is just starting to get into the world of homeschooling. In her "spare-time" she enjoys sharing many of the projects, stories, and gluten-free recipes that are a part of their every day lives!
LOVE the pictures…..little Miss Muffet looks adorable 🙂 as always. Shout out to all the Bro's. Enjoy the sun!! BTW..We have the sleigh, now we "need" snow …lol… (so there is at least one good use for snow! We'd look silly out there on a sleigh ride without it!!)
I know… it was a gorgeous day for taking pictures! It will he hard {weather-wise} coming home to the cold, but it will be fun when the snow comes and we can try out the sleigh! I'll bet Hayden will love it 🙂
Hi Kate, I am glad you were able to find some warmth in the winter. I personally am getting tired of the warmth because it's been 80 degrees here in San Diego (I am seriously not joking and I'm seriously not bragging) for the past month and we need some rain or something. It would be nice to have at least a few weeks of winter, lol! I don't need it to snow or anything, but I'd like to wear a scarf and boots every once in awhile!
mmm I do also love the rain… it would be sad to lose that 🙁 I feel like I wouldn't miss the cold, but maybe I'd feel differently if I lived here {I doubt it, but it's possible :P}
My husband and I lived in the Phoenix area for two years while completing our degrees. The weather is nice in the "winter" but the rest of the year it's miserably hot 🙁
I love the "winter" in quotes… it definitely doesn't seem like winter! Maybe we'll have to come back in the summer to see what the heat is "really" like 😛
Ugh I totally know what you mean. When I was in Hawaii last year, I was like why in the world do I live in Nebraska? I have no need for seasons.
Exactly! Snow is overrated 😛 At least we have a good reason to visit!
Glad to see you guys are having a great time, can't wait to see and hear more about you trip!
Thanks Jack 🙂 We're lovin it!
