Arizona Day 4: Pizza, Games, & Smores

{Wednesday}

When we left for this trip I had already been sick for several days, but the rest of my family seemed fine. By Monday we could tell little girl was getting it, and that night she woke up several times. Tuesday night Wes and I slept on the couch in hopes she would sleep better in her own room… which she did until about 5am. Wes was up with her for a while, but she ended up only sleeping with me on the couch. After we were finally all up and around we made out our agenda for the day. We started off by checking out a neighborhood Wes wanted to see and then went to visit his grandma back at the nursing home. Afterwards we went to Picazzo’s restaurant which was largely gluten free. Wes had heard this place had amazing pizza, so we got a “Meaty Meaty” and “Chipolte Chicken” – they were GOOD.

aren’t we all so clever? 😛

 Later that night the family sat around the table for a game of Banagram – it’s kind of like scrabble, but more individual?? It was super fun. After the game we headed outside for some S’more action. I’m not normally a s’more person, but these were too good to pass up!

Those graham crackers were AMAZING
The husband roasting his marshmallow
And then he toasted one for me 🙂 Thanks babe!
love!
getting in on the action…
ahhh siblings 🙂

We had a great time our last night in Arizona. The trip went by SO fast {they always do, don’t they?} but we thoroughly enjoyed it and were also looking forward to being home again. We barely got any sleep with our sick little girl, and I was up by 3:45 the next morning so that we could leave for the airport by 5:00am. The whole fam got up to wish us off, & Matt and Deb drove us to the airport. Our flights went surprisingly well – little girl was so tired she slept straight through both of them {AND through the 2 1/2 hour drive home once we landed!} It’s definitely good to be home, but we sure can’t wait to visit again 🙂

In case you missed it, check out Day 1, Day 2, & Day 3.
