Graphic Monday: Gender Reveal Cupcake Toppers + OUR Gender Reveal!!!

When it came time to announce the gender with our first child, we chose do go the cake + food coloring route with white frosting {so when you cut into it you found out she was a girl!}

This time I stuck with the cake, however instead of hiding the color, I did cupcakes that were clearly for one gender, then brought them out when we were ready to announce it to our family. I of course had to make my own cupcake toppers, so while I was at it I made one for each gender and a gender neutral one for those who might want to still hide the “revealing colour” inside

Of course I did actually choose just one of these for our reveal: I am very excited to announce that…

Yeay! We are super excited 🙂 I had my little display covered with a sheet {secured in the cabinet doors} until we were ready. The ribbons were leftover from my first baby shower.
{If I would have had more time, I would have cut the toppers out completely… but I didn’t ha!}

Meanwhile everyone snacked and hung out while the kiddos got a change to play

Time for the reveal!

Getting Wes’s parents in on the action via Skype {don’t I look extra attractive chewing?}

Overall it we had a great time, and we are so excited to welcome another little girl into our family. I LOVE how the cupcakes turned out… even if I can’t seem to get off the cake theme :P.
